There have been comments about the increased cost of voting rule changes to Cook County because of passing the voter ID amendment. That increased cost and inconvenience is a concern that I also share. But I am more concerned about voter disenfranchisement that could result.
There is great danger that many people who are currently legal and proper voters would lose their privilege. The possible effect on the poor, elderly, infirm and in protection among other groups for whom an ID card would be difficult to get is not right for America.
Voting NO on this amendment is an important vote for freedom.
