There are always interesting discussions with the characters at The Night of the Notorious. Last year, Hunter S. Thompson (Drew Holmen) explained why he enjoyed his “gonzo” lifestyle.

Twenty Cook County High School seniors will argue controversial topics on “The Night of the Notorious” in the Arrowhead Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Jan. 10. As their final project for UMD’s College Writing Course, the students will argue their positions as spokespersons for their research topics.

The community is cordially invited to an open discussion with the following characters — some quite noble and some decidedly notorious:
