New Sawtooth Mountain Clinic Pharmacy hours

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic (SMC) announces that their on-site pharmacy will change to winter hours starting in November. The SMC Pharmacy will close on Saturdays in order to maximize staff time during the busiest hours of the week.

“Saturdays have been slow at SMC Pharmacy even during the summer,” notes Kate Surbaugh, CEO, “and our amazing pharmacy staff have been working 6 days a week for many months. It makes sense to move to 5 days per week temporarily, focus on high-traffic days, and prevent staff burnout.”

The SMC Pharmacy has been serving the needs of residents and visitors of Cook County and the Grand Portage Reservation since January of 2021. “We are here to help” states Pharmacist-in-Charge Anna Krevechenko, continuing “All of our staff care about this community and are always happy to assist patients with their pharmacy questions and needs”. The SMC Pharmacy can be reached during operating hours at (218) 877-8277.

Updated Pharmacy Hours as of November 1 are:

Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

“Thanks to the community for their support of the pharmacy. It’s a vital local service and adjusting to winter hours will allow for long-term sustainability” noted Surbaugh. Sawtooth Mountain Clinic’s mission is to provide high-quality healthcare to everyone who walks through its doors. With robust financial support and outreach services, SMC strives to remove barriers to care for all area residents and visitors.

Even though the pharmacy will be moving to winter hours beginning in November, Sawtooth Mountain Clinic will remain open from 8am until 12 p.m. on Saturdays for medical appointments.
