Cheryl Anderson gave $395 to pay for art supplies.
Roger Linehan donated $80 to the general budget.
The CCHS Booster Club gave $2,870.48 to pay for jerseys.
Maribeth Farley donated a cornet valued at $150 and Cindy Everson donated a trumpet valued at $350 to the band.
Resignations accepted/ hires
Susie Meyer resigned her para position, deciding to continue her schooling and working in the health care field.
Stephanie Lundorf announced her retirement from her full-time guidance counselor position effective 4 p.m. on September 14. Lundorf said she would leave open the offer of “working remotely as the Cook County middle school, high school registrar.”
Jim Lundorf also resigned from his fifth-grade teaching position to take a job elsewhere. “I will miss the dedicated and talented staff, the beautiful area, and most of all—the Sawtooth Elementary students,” said Lundorf in his letter to the school board.
Both positions have been replaced, but the names of the new counselor and new fifth-grade teacher weren’t available at press time.
New para hires include Hope Laakkonen, who was hired as a part-time bus driver. Jennifer Schroers and Kendra Osgood were hired as full-time paras. Michelle Whaley will work part-time in the pre-school and Andrea Orest, part-time TBD.
