New heating and plumbing business coming to Cook County

After visiting Grand Marais last summer Justin Greeley and his wife Pamela decided it was a time to downsize and move north.

“We decided to sell Greeley Plumbing Heating & A/C and move to Cook County. After 20 years of building the business, I had enough and sold it to one of my competitors, Ellingson Plumbing & Heating.”

Justin started by working for his dad Sam in central Minnesota. In 2002 he purchased the business from his father and expanded from one location and one employee to 30 employees and four shops in three towns, Glenwood, Alexandria and Morris.

“We purchased a home here and bought a lot on the corner of Highway 61 and the new Gunflint Trail access and we will put up a shop there in the spring,” Justin said.

At 46 Justin is a long way from being retired, but he wants to make time to fish, hunt and hike. “The area here offers lots to do, trails and lakes, and my wife and I plan on getting out in nature and enjoying these things.”

A Master Plumber who is a heating and cooling specialist, Justin will be here full-time mid-February. Until then, he will be available on the weekends to work.

“I promise I will return every phone call that I get. I can’t promise I can do the work right now, but I will return a phone call and try to help you find someone who can take care of your problems.”

Justin also wants to get involved with organizations that offer services to Cook County. “I like to help the community I live in, and I am a charitable giver. Every year I give away a new furnace for the holidays. Pamela and I try to give back and we will continue to do that here.”
