Anna Jorgenson and Will Sandstrom of Grand Marais are happy to announce their engagement. The couple is planning an outdoor wedding ceremony on August 27, 2011 in Tofte. Anna’s parents are Christy Buetow and Arleigh Jorgenson of Grand Marais. Grandparents are Evelyn Buetow of Silver Bay, MN and Marian Jorgenson of Darlington, WI. Will’s mother is Elvira Sandstrom of International Falls, MN. Grandmother is Dellia Helgeson of International Falls, MN. The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Cook County High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in social work. She is currently employed with Cook County Public Health and Human Services. The future groom, a 1990 graduate of Falls High, earned a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State University in law enforcement. He is currently employed with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Grand Marais.
Jeffrey and Annette Sylvester are proud to announce the marriage of their son, Ian Michael Sylvester, to Colleen Nicole Sullivan on May 28, 2011. Colleen is the daughter of Paul and Kristina Sullivan of West Allis, Wis. The wedding was held at Glensheen Mansion in Duluth. The newlyweds are currently living in Fort Collins, Colo. Ian will be working at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Colleen will be attending the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
Lori and Mark Sundman of Rogers, along with Steven and Lori Fuhrman of Coon Rapids, announce the engagement of their daughter, Brianna Fuhrman, to Mitchell Collins, son of Jeffrey and Sheryl Collins of Elk River and Nancy Collins of Otsego. Brianna is the granddaughter of Ruthie and the late Wesley Backlund, formerly of Grand Marais. Brianna is a 2005 graduate of Rogers High School and a 2010 graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is a pediatric registered nurse. Mitchell is a 2003 graduate of Elk River High School and a 2005 graduate of Dunwoody College of Technology, where he earned an associate degree in HVAC. A Sept. 24, 2011 wedding is planned.
