Little Danny would like to announce the birth of his little brother, Cooper Neal Garcia, at 4:18 p.m. March 29, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. Cooper weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. Proud parents are Ceira and Danny Garcia of Grand Marais.

Jacob Kelahan and Sarah Groth of Grand Marais announce the birth of a daughter, Kiera Anne Kelahan, on Jan. 16, 2012 in Robbinsdale, Minn. Kiera was born six weeks premature. She weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces and was 16 inches long. Proud grandparents are Michael and Kay Groth, Christal Kelahan and the late Joe Kelahan. Her great-grandparents are David and Joanne Groth of Mille Lacs. Kiera spent the first six weeks of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, gaining weight and learning about the world around her. She is now at home in Grand Marais, weighing in at a healthy 8 pounds and growing fast.
