WOW, the UCC-Congregation’s bike loan program for International workers, has accumulated several bicycles that are single speed units. Because these bikes are one speed, they are not appropriate for the workers on the hills of Grand Marais and Cook County.

WOW would like to offer these “orphan” bikes to anyone feeling they can use these units. The bikes are in good condition, but are limited by their one speed. The units are in various styles and sizes, and would make a good bike for someone not needing additional speeds or just learning to ride.

Stop by the church on Tuesday or Thursday, from 2-4 p.m., to select a bike of your choice. While there is no cost to get one of these bikes, WOW would appreciate a monetary donation to add to its needed funds for continued repairs and reconditioning.

Further questions can be answered by calling the church at 218-387-2113.
