The first Thursday in May has been the day of National Day of Prayer for many years, and people gather at courthouses, capitols and public places across our nation to pray. National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 5, will be held at the Cook County Courthouse steps from noon (12) to 1 p.m. It is an opportunity to avail ourselves of the freedom we have to gather publicly for prayer for our nation; our elected leaders: school board and city, county, state and national public servants, our military, law enforcement, churches, schools, and families.
Come, and join together in praying for our nation.
