There must be an underground market for the sales of political yard signs because they are repeatedly being stolen.
This week Jaye White reports that four of her signs were taken. White is running for Cook County Commissioner in District 2.
Since June, Cook County Law enforcement reports that Black Lives Matter signs have been taken and political campaign signs for Ann Sullivan and Myron Bursheim have also gone missing.
Just to note, you can be charged with a misdemeanor for removing a sign without permission from the owner of the sign. Show some respect for the people who purchase and place the signs and leave them alone. You’re right to free speech comes at the voting booth, not taking someone else’s property.
