Monroe, Brandenburg conservation presentation set

Spend an evening at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum with two of Minnesota’s premier artists as they blend their talents to educate, inspire and raise awareness about conservation of treasured natural resources.

Watch, listen and learn as the performance unfolds to combine world-renowned National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg’s images and the rich tones of Michael Monroe’s vocals, guitar and flutes.

The evening begins with a solo set of Monroe’s popular songs dedicated to nature in Minnesota, followed by Brandenburg as he takes the stage to show his breathtaking photographs and share personal stories, insights and philosophies behind his powerful images. Monroe complements Brandenburg’s presentation with improvised musical interpretation to create a synergistic, multi-sensory experience.

Conservation Through the Lens will be presented Oct. 13 and 14 at the University of Minnesota’s Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, and Oct. 15 at Memorial Auditorium in Worthington. Call (952) 443-1400 for more information.
