Cook County residents can now visit www.MNbenefits.org to complete an online application for economic assistance programs. Launched on May 12, MNbenefits.org is a simple, secure web application that connects you with state and county services to help you and your family meet your basic needs. You can use MNbenefits.org to apply for cash assistance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, childcare assistance, and emergency assistance.
Cook County was selected, along with 15 other Minnesota counties, to test the new online application program. MNbenefits.org
MNbenefits.org provides a streamlined application process with an average application time of 20 minutes or less to complete. It is also smartphone friendly, which will allow residents to apply anytime and anywhere.
To apply, visit MNbenefits.org and select “Apply Now” to start the application process. You can also find a link to apply on the Cook County Public Health and Human Services website at www.cookcountyphhs.org. Please contact the PHHS department to request a paper application or for assistance with the application process.
