Hello! I am writing to express our sadness and dismay at the decision to remove Garry Gamble’s articles from our local paper. His writings were well thought-out, his articles were insightful, and it was obvious that he was not only very well read but also that he cared deeply about the current issues, as he quoted other historical figures and their views on the founding values once held dear in our country. His column was never used to label others or put them down; he never trash-talked anyone but calmly and factually shared life as he saw it. It matters not if people agree or disagree with what he wrote, it matters that he was allowed to express an informed and interesting view not heard from most other sources. It saddens us to think that cancel-culture has hit our small-town paper. We hope you will reconsider your decision soon.
