According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 2.8 percent.
That’s the third consecutive month that Minnesota’s unemployment has held to 2.8 percent.
Cook County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was a tick higher than the states at 2.9 percent.
Meanwhile the national unemployment rate is 3.7 percent.
“Minnesota’s unemployment rate has remained unchanged since September,” said DEED Commissioner Shawntera Hardy. “Maintaining this historically-low unemployment rate is a sign of the state’s economic stability.”
Over the past year the state has gained 33,460 jobs, an employment growth rate of 1.1 percent.
