Mesabi Range Community & Technical College will be offering its two-year Industrial Mechanical Technology (millwright) diploma program in Silver Bay beginning in the fall semester of 2012.
An informational session will be held at 6 p.m. May 29 in the Silver Bay High School Library. Quincy McNeil, dean of students at William Kelley High School, said, “This is an opportunity for individuals to complete a college program without having to travel to Eveleth or Virginia.” Mesabi Range’s Industrial Mechanical Technology (millwright) program has been training millwrights to work in the mining industry for over 40 years.
