Jesse Anderson, a 1996 graduate of Cook County High School and son of Lyle and Shelby Anderson, was promoted to the U.S. Army rank of major by Colonel Reinhard Koenig, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District Commander, in a ceremony August 9 in Fairbanks, Alaska. In attendance with his family was the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Jo-Ellen Darcy. Major Anderson’s present post is Fort Wainwright, Alaska where he is serving with the Army Corps of Engineers overseeing several construction projects. He lives in North Pole, Alaska with his wife Audrey and their four children.
