The Cook County Middle School Geography Bee was held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the Arrowhead Center for the Arts. Cook County Middle School students first tackled geography questions in a classroom competition and the top 11 finishers in grades 6, 7 and 8 advanced to the final rounds in the ACA.
The students answered challenging questions involving worldwide geography and map reading. The questions were read by social studies teacher David Liechty. The Geography Bee is organized by Middle School Teacher Dorie Carlson.
The students who competed in front of their classmates in 2013 Cook County Middle School Geography Bee were Kyle Wiegele, Jack Viren, Levi Sheils, Maya McHugh, Marcus Logan, Isak Terrill, Claire Sherburne, Mia Westerberg, Jamie Johnson, Bryn Soland and Billy Hackett.
