Another great event to benefit the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department will be held Saturday, August 13 at Fire Hall No. 1 from 1 – 4 p.m. The Mid- Trail fire department fundraiser includes a flea market and boutique with cake, coffee, and lemonade starting at 1 p.m. At 2:00 p.m. the excitement starts with a live auction. After the live auction will be the drawing for the highly-coveted “Among the Stars” quilt.
The quilt, lovingly crafted by the Mid-Trail Quilters with overall quilting by Melissa Anderson, is queen-sized, lovely natural colors featuring a moose, bear, wolf, birds and a deer surrounded by stars.
Tickets may be purchased ahead of time at The Loon’s Nest at Mid-Trail or Crystal’s Quilt Shop in Grand Marais. Tickets will also be available at the event, which is not to be missed. Start your Christmas shopping early at the boutique. Find a treasure at the Flea Market. Or laugh and bid at the live auction with auctioneer Phil Serrin.
Do your Christmas shopping early at the Boutique, find a treasure in the Flea Market and have fun bidding on unusual items during the Live Auction.
