Gunflint Trail residents are gearing up for another fun event. The Annual Benefit for the Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department will be Saturday August 14 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Mid- Trail Fire Hall (a mile east of Trail Center Restaurant).

Organizers have “something for everyone”—a large flea market and boutique, a live auction, a raffle, and cake, coffee, and lemonade. Phil Serrin will again be the entertaining auctioneer.

Once again there are amazing quilted items on the auction and to be raffled. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Crystal’s Quilts in Grand Marais, at mid- Trail resorts, or at Loon’s Nest Gifts.

Organizer Lee Zopff said, “We welcome our friends from town and country to join us!”

Look for the green banner by Fire Hall #1. For more information, contact Zopff at (218) 388-4465 or Bob Carlson at (218) 388-0199.

Proceeds from the event go to the Gunflint Trail Fire Department.
