If you’re tired of donating your blood to the Minnesota State “Bird,” the mosquito, consider donating to a better cause – The Arrowhead Regional Blood Center. Patients in the Arrowhead region need over 350 units of blood every week. You can help out by donating blood at the next visit of the Memorial Blood Center of Duluth.

The West End is sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, July 21. This blood drive will be held at Zoar Lutheran Church in Tofte from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Call Polly Erickson at (218) 663-7398 to set-up a time to give.

The bloodmobile will be in Grand Marais on Wednesday, July 22, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. Contact Rosemary Lamson to schedule an appointment or for more information.

One person’s blood donation may save up to three lives.
