A Membership Drive is being held at the American Legion lounge from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 26. Members and those interested in becoming members of American Legion Post 413, the Legion Auxiliary or the Sons of the American Legion are encouraged to attend.
Members of the Legion, Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion will be treated to a delicious chicken dinner free. Non-members are welcome to enjoy dinner for a cost of $7. There will be cake for dessert. There will also be door prizes for members.
Members of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion comprise the Legion family, which has a combined membership of nearly 4.2 million across the United States. Each organization does its part to promote patriotism and honor, support strong national security and to advocate for veterans and service members. Each organization also offers many local services—participating in community parades, teaching patriotism to local youths and conducting special events on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Come to the Membership Drive and learn how you could be involved.
And, mark your calendars for the 2013 Veterans Day dinner at the American Legion which will be Monday, November 11 from 4 – 7 p.m.
