Nick Cusick
Nick Cusick began work this week as the Cook County and North Shore Public Health Public Information Coordinator. It’s a new position and the costs to fund it are shared by the county and hospital.
Nick is a communications professional with more than eight years of experience, and he says he is thrilled to join the teams at Cook County and North Shore Health.
A native of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Nick received a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Winona State University and has spent the last 6.5 years in the destination marketing field, most recently as Marketing & Communications Director for Visit Saint Paul. Nick has worked for multiple newspapers with Lee Enterprises as a journalist and editor and was also the Director of the Muscatine Convention & Visitors Bureau before returning to Saint Paul.
A frequent visitor to Cook County over the years, Nick and his wife, Lily, and their two dogs, Sophie and Shea, are excited to be moving to the area. Sophie and Shea are mixed mutts, rescues that were adopted from an animal orphanage in Iowa.
In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, canoeing, hiking, fishing, golfing, as well as cooking, rooting on Minnesota sports teams, and playing board games.
