The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. Slade Michael Bickford, 22, Grand Marais, was convicted Nov. 19 of charges of fleeing a police officer on Aug. 4, an additional charge of Social Host Ordinance violation having been dismissed by the court. Sentenced Dec. 10 to 20 days in jail, stayed one year with unsupervised probation and ordered to pay a $300 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $390.
Edward Fukushima, 59, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Dec. 10 to charges of counterfeiting of currency on Jan. 2 and was granted a stay of imposition of sentence, placed on unsupervised probation for 360 days, and ordered to pay a $2,500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $2,590.
John P. Gerolami, 44, Ontario, pled guilty Dec. 10 to speeding (73/55) on Nov. 12 and was fined $150.
