The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of
Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions

of criminal cases in which the potential punishment
exceeds $100 and/or 10 days in jail. All fines have additional

surcharges and fees and may be much higher. It is
the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information

contains a complete record. Requests for items to be
withheld will not be granted.

Bryan Jeffrey Ophaug,
31, Minneapolis, pled guilty Sept. 23 to driving the wrong way on a one–way street June 4, and was fined $190.

Naomi A. Stevens,
48, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 23 to speeding (76/55) on July 7, and was fined $230.

David Andrew LaFavor,
40, Shakopee, pled guilty Sept. 23 to speeding (77/55) on July 5, and was fined $230.

Kyllikki Makinen,
41, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 23 to speeding (69/55) on May 25, and was fined $140.

Ronda Lynn Scavarelli,
38, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 23 to speeding (83/55) on April 18, and was fined $290.

Wayne Schlienz,
84, Grand Marais, pled guilty Sept. 23 to failure to give information (driver) relating to a traffic accident on Aug. 19, and was fined $290.

Albert Lipka,
73, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 29 to speeding (74/55) on Aug. 27, and was fined $150.

Joseph T. Majewski,
31, Menomonee Falls, Wis., pled guilty Sept. 29 to speeding (75/45) on Sept. 11, and was fined $290.

Mary Lue Decatur,
53, Duluth, pled guilty Sept. 29 to speeding (65/55) on Sept. 23, and was fined $130.

Douglas Gunsinger,
42, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 29 to speeding (80/55) on June 25, and was fined $230.

Joshua Gary Cordle,
21, Floodwood, pled guilty Sept. 24 to speeding (62/40) on Sept. 7, and was fined $230.

Antonio Fabiano,
43, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Sept. 24 to speeding (69/55) on Sept. 17, and was fined $140.

Misha Gordin,
63, St. Joseph, pled guilty Sept. 24 to speeding (77/55) on Sept. 2, and was fined $230.

Kenneth Wayne Nelson,
64, Duluth, pled guilty Sept. 23 to driving while intoxicated (DWI) charges filed Aug. 2, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a fine plus court costs totaling $615.

Cody James Zellner,
22, Minneapolis, pled guilty Sept. 23 to charges of DWI filed Jan. 10, the court having dismissed additional charges of trespass, driving after suspension, open bottle law violation and possession of marijuana. Sentenced to 365 days in the county jail, 335 days of which are stayed for two years with probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a fine plus costs and fees totaling $90.
