Michael Beerthuizen, 57, Ontario, pled guilty May 29 to speeding (79/55) on May 19, and was fined $230.
Curtis Stephen Gagnon, 64, Grand Portage, pled guilty April 16 to charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) filed Oct. 26, 2012. Sentenced May 28 to 365 days in jail, stayed three years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $700 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $815.
Richard Scott Gombart, 55, Grand Marais, pled guilty May 7 to charges of careless driving filed March 12, additional charges of DWI and possession of weapons having been dismissed by the court. Sentenced May 29 to 60 days in jail, stayed 58 days with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $590.
Jeannie Sophia Johnson, 37, Grand Marais, pled guilty April 15 to felony charges of possession of drugs filed Feb. 22, the court having dismissed additional charges of driving after suspension, uninsured vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Granted a stay of adjudication May 29 and sentenced to three years supervised probation with conditions. Court fees totaling $90 were waived.
