Matters of Record




The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Lynsey Beth Smith, 30, Grand Marais, pled guilty March 27 to felony charges of theft filed Jan. 19, and was granted a stay of adjudication and sentenced to four years of supervised probation, with 60 days of local confinement.

Seth A. Moore, 41, Ontario, pled guilty April 9 to speeding (70/55) on Dec. 19, and was fined $150.

Krzysztof Kardacz, 51, Ontario, pled guilty April 11 to speeding (77/55) on March 2, an additional charge of no proof of insurance having been dismissed by the court, and was fined $230.

Dean Arsenio Michieli, 33, Ontario, pled guilty April 11 to two speeding violations, both committed March 2 (78/55 and 67/55), and was fined a total of $370.

Shadow Orwick, 21, Ontario, pled guilty April 11 to speeding (73/55) on March 28, and was fined $150.

Jonathan Robert Carver, 28, Columbia Heights, pled guilty April 12 to charges of open bottle (traffic) on Match 11, and was fined $190.

Stacey Lynn Peterson, 45, Prior Lake, pled guilty April 12 to charges of speeding (65/55) and no proof of insurance filed Feb. 28, and was fined $330.

Nicholas Marc Bourget, 34, Grand Portage, pled guilty March 5 to felony charges of terroristic threats and domestic assault filed Jan. 30. Granted a stay of adjudication April 15 and sentenced to 125 days in jail, stayed three years with supervised probation and conditions.
