Bay, pled guilty Oct. 3 to speeding
(71/55) on July 4, and was fined

Antonio Sgambelluri, 33, Thunder
Bay, pled guilty Oct. 3 to speeding
(77/55) on July 4, and was fined
$230.
Daniel Eugene Kersey, 46, Fridley,
pled guilty Oct. 3 to speeding (70/55)
on Sept. 17, and was fined $150.
Tonya Agnes Mattinas, 25,
Sandstone, pled guilty Oct. 3 to
littering on June 26, and was fined
$190.
Cheryl Antoniak Walimaa, 40,
Grand Marais, pled guilty July
19 to felony charges of financial
exploitation (vulnerable adult/
breach of fiduciary obligation/fail
to provide care) filed April 20, an
additional similar charge having
been dismissed by the court. Granted
a stay of imposition Sept. 21, and
sentenced to 30 days in jail, five years
of supervised probation, and ordered
to pay $33,000 restitution plus $90
court costs and fees.
Rachel Ann Christenson, 31,
Grand Portage, pled guilty Sept. 21
to a State Patrol traffic regulation
violation on March 30 (require/
permit offense by another), and was
fined $190.
Ashley Anna Howard-Larsen,
20, Grand Marais, pled guilty
Aug. 3 to two felony charges of
theft, mistreatment of residents
or patients, and criminal neglect
of a vulnerable adult filed Dec. 6,
2010, the court having dismissed
three additional felony counts of
possession of drugs; and underage
consumption of liquor on Aug. 6.
Granted a stay of adjudication Sept.
21, sentenced to 91 days in jail and
five years of supervised probation
with conditions, and ordered to pay
a $50 fine.
