The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Charles E. Baker, 86, Thunder Bay, pled guilty
May 9 to speeding (72/55) on April 24, and was
fined $150.
Curtis Edwin Russell, 32, Thunder Bay, pled
guilty May 11 to speeding (77/55) on Feb. 20, and
was fined $230.
Brandy Therese Pulice, 31, Thunder Bay, pled
guilty May 16 to speeding (80/55) on April 23, and
was fined $230.
Candace Marie Pelletier, 30, Grand Marais, pled
guilty May 18 to charges of disorderly conduct on
July 28, 2010, and was fined $150.
Stephanie Lynn Slanga, 40, Grand Marais, pled
guilty May 18 to driving while intoxicated (DWI)
charges filed March 27, and was sentenced to 60
days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500
fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $615.
Benjamin William Brownlee, 44, Lutsen, pled
guilty May 18 to driving after license cancellation and uninsured vehicle operation on April 17,
the court having dismissed an additional charge
of no seat belt use. Sentenced to 30 days in jail,
to be served consecutively with another case, and
ordered to pay fines and court costs totaling $390.
Tyler Kenneth Grant Biloski, 20, Thunder Bay,
pled guilty May 23 to speeding (74/55) on March
26, and was fined $150.
Robert Lewis Shier, 60, Woodbury, pled guilty
May 27 to speeding (65/55) and no proof of insurance on April 2, and was fined $330.
Shawn Michael Clough, 31, Pine City, pled
guilty May 26 to DNR charges of unlawful transportation of firearms (hunting) on Sept. 4, 2010,
and was fined $190.
Valley News Company, Mankato, pled guilty
June 3 to no required annual inspection of commercial vehicles charges filed on May 17, and was
fined $190.
Debra A. Ollikainen, 52, Thunder Bay, pled
guilty June 6 to speeding (74/55) on May 15, and
was fined $150.
Sawtooth Lumber Co., Elk River, pled guilty
June 6 to charges of no required annual inspection of a commercial vehicle on May 17, and was
fined $190.
Terry Eugene Olson, 53, Grand Marais, pled
guilty June 1 to charges of gross weight limit violation (vehicle) on May 17, and was fined $290.
Marty Lynn Ingram, 53, Barnum, pled guilty
May 5 to charges of disorderly conduct filed Jan.
14. Sentenced June 8 to 90 days in jail, stayed
for one year with unsupervised probation, and
ordered to pay a $1,000 fine ($700 of which was
stayed until June 8, 2012) plus court costs of $90.
Melissa Ann Jones, 28, Prescott, Wis., pled
guilty June 8 to theft charges filed May 17, and
was sentenced to 30 days in jail, stayed one year
with unsupervised probation and conditions, and
ordered to pay a $300 fine plus court costs and fees
for a total of $400.
William Hale Sausman, 45, Duluth, pled guilty
April 6 to felony charges of burglary filed March
17, 2010, the court having dismissed additional
charges of damage to property. Sentenced June 8
to one year in prison, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to
pay a $300 fine plus court costs and fees of $90.
Peter George Torre, 39, Duluth, pled guilty June
8 to charges of reckless driving filed June 15, 2010,
the court having dismissed additional charges
of DWI. Sentenced to 30 days in jail, stayed two
years with unsupervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court
costs and fees of $90.
Roger Wayne Westerlind, 35, Lutsen, pled guilty
May 4 to felony charges of drug possession filed
Feb. 24. Sentenced June 8 to 30 days in jail, stayed
three years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $50 fine.
Marc Dennis Anderson, 54, St. Paul, pled guilty
June 14 to speeding (71/40) on May 20, and was
fined $390.
Matthew Eugene Farrell, 31, Lutsen, pled guilty
May 4 to charges of DWI filed Jan. 4. Sentenced
June 14 to one year in jail, stayed two years with
supervised probation and conditions, and ordered
to pay a $700 fine.
