Bret Tyson Berka,
37, Grand Marais, pled guilty Sept. 22 to a felony charge of domestic assault (by strangulation) and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault filed July 14, the court having dismissed an additional similar count. Granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21 and sentenced to three years of supervised probation with conditions and ordered to pay court costs and fees totaling $75.
Lucille Louise Brickner,
44, Grand Portage, pled guilty Dec. 21 to charges of driving while impaired on Sept. 6, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, stayed for two years with probation and conditions and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus costs and fees for a total of $590.
Johnathan Ray England,
40, Grand Marais, pled guilty Dec. 7 to a felony charge of drug possession and a gross misdemeanor charge of DWI filed Oct. 24, the court having dismissed additional counts of speeding (73/45) and driving after revocation. Granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21 with three years of supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $575.
Clifford Anton Iverson,
60, Tofte, pled guilty July 7 to furnishing liquor to minors on April 30 and was granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21, placed on unsupervised probation for two years, and ordered to pay a $900 fine plus court costs and fees totaling $490.
Eric Roger Kegler,
25, Lutsen, pled guilty Dec. 7 to a felony charge of drug possession filed July 23, an additional petty misdemeanor charge of drug possession having been dismissed by the court. Granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21 with two years of supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay costs of $75.
Jacob Tyler Kelahan,
20, Grand Marais, pled guilty Oct. 20 to a felony charge of assault filed Aug. 21, the court having dismissed an additional similar misdemeanor count. Granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21 and placed on three years supervised probation with conditions, and ordered to pay costs of $75.
Thomas David Ozzello,
55, Maplewood, pled guilty Sept. 21 to a felony charge of criminal sexual conduct with a minor filed July 13, 2009. Granted a stay of adjudication Dec. 21 and placed on seven years supervised probation with conditions, and ordered to pay costs and fees totaling $90.
Gerald Lyle Shepersky,
50, Two Harbors, pled guilty Dec. 21 to a felony charge of drug possession filed Aug. 6. Granted a stay of adjudication and placed on two years of supervised probation, and ordered to pay a fine plus court costs totaling $500.
Gerald Allen Okerman,
64, Edina, pled guilty Nov. 2 to a charge of DWI filed Feb. 17. Sentenced Dec. 21 to one year in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $829.06.
Lance Jeffrey Johnson,
47, Grand Portage, pled guilty Dec. 8, 2009 to a felony charge of DWI filed June 19, 2009. Sentenced Dec. 21 to 42 months at the state correctional facility at St. Cloud, stayed seven years with supervised probation and conditions, and 90 days of local confinement. Also ordered to pay a $500 fine plus costs and fees for a total of $690.
Keith Bryan Payton,
47, Tamarack, pled guilty Dec. 22 to no proof of insurance on Nov. 16, and was fined $290.
