The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the punishment exceeds $150 and/or ten days in jail and/or includes one year of supervised adult probation. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Joshua David Scherer, 47, no current address, pled guilty on November 28, 2022, to a felony of Third Degree Burglary and a misdemeanor of Theft – Obtaining Services with No Payment. Incidents occurred on April 8, 2022. Sentencing included one year of supervised adult probation, Local Confinement (90 Days stayed for one year with credit for time served: 8 Days), and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $473.96 and include Restitution of $288.96.

Nordic Group Inc., Carlton, Minnesota, pled guilty on January 24, 2023, to two petty misdemeanors of 1) Failing to obtain and mail statements for Work affecting state public waters, and 2) Dredging, filling, changing course, current, or cross-section of public waters without a permit. Incidents occurred on November 21, 2022. Fines and fees total $485.

Justin Carl Imsande, 34, River Falls, Wisconsin, pled guilty on January 24, 2023, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 84/60 on November 12, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Jason David Kennedy, 44, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, pled guilty on January 24, 2023, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 60/40 on January 20, 2023. Fines and fees total $225.

Jill Renee Bellefeuille, 42, Proctor, Minnesota, Disposition with Stay of Adjudication on January 23, 2023, for a misdemeanor of Trespass – Occupy, Enter a Locked Dwelling, on October 19, 2022. Requirements include one year of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. Fees total $616.62 and include Restitution of $616.62.

Lindy Renee Jouppi, 43, Grand Marais, Minnesota, pled guilty on October 10, 2022, to a felony of Fourth Degree Assault on a Peace Officer – Throwing or Transferring bodily fluids or feces onto an Officer. Incident occurred on August 17, 2022. Requirements include three years of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. Jouppi also pled guilty on October 10, 2022, to a gross misdemeanor of Traffic DWI – Third Degree Driving While Impaired and Refusing to submit to chemical test on August 17, 2022. Sentenced to Local Confinement (180 Days, stayed 177 Days with credit for time served: 3 Days), two years of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $1085.

Yarrow Kelley Korf, 45, Hovland, Minnesota, pled guilty December 13, 2022, to a gross misdemeanor of Malicious Punishment of a Child – Less than Substantial Bodily Harm, on October 27, 2021. Requirements include two years of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. No fines or fees listed on record.

Jessica Lee Wester, 49, Milaca, Minnesota, pled guilty on November 28, 2022, to a felony of Issuing a Dishonored Check with a Value More Than $500, on May 30, 2021. Court Decision Continued on January 23, 2023. Requirements include two years supervised adult probation and conditions of behavior. Fees total $537.45 and include Restitution of $537.45.

William Allen Hanson, 20, Edina, Minnesota, pled guilty January 26, 2023, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 80/60 on January 22, 2023. Fines and fees total $225.
