The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the punishment exceeds $150 and/or ten days in jail and/or includes one year of supervised adult probation. Matthew Allen Beaver, 43, Minneapolis, Minnesota, pled guilty on October 30, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Speeding in a Special Zone set by the Commissioner on September 11, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.
Denny Cedar James, 35, Grand Marais, Minnesota, pled guilty on September 13, 2022, and was convicted on October 25, 2022, to a felony and a gross misdemeanor. Felony was of Criminal Sex Conduct – 2nd Degree- Significant Relationship- Victim Under 16 years of age. Incident occurred on March 1, 2021. Gross Misdemeanor of Malicious Punishment of a Child – Less than Substantial Bodily Harm, occurred on February 1, 2021. Sentences are Concurrent and included Commitment to Commissioner of Corrections – Adult (MN Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for 51 months), Local Confinement (365 Days with Credit for time served: 140 Days), plus Adult Predatory Offender Registration.
Charles David Graham, 65, Eagan, Minnesota, submitted an Amended Plea of guilty on October 15, 2019, to a felony of Assault in the Third Degree. Court Decision was continued on same date. Amended Disposition was Dismissed on October 25, 2022, due to Conditions being Met or Expired. Requirements included three years of supervised adult probation, conditions of behavior and fees totaling $2588.48 which include $1588.48 in restitution.
MARRIAGE DISSOLUTION
A Judgment of Marriage Dissolution was granted to Joseph Jay Friedrichs and Margaret Ann Friedrichs on October 11, 2022.
