Matters of Record


The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the punishment exceeds $150 and/or ten days in jail and/or includes one year of supervised adult probation. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Ariana Marie Poyirier, 18, Grand Portage, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 19, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Driving After Suspension of Driver’s License on March 1, 2022. Fines and fees total $315.

Daniel S. Jungen, 27, Lake Hill, New York, pled guilty on May 21, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 83/60 on May 5, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Reid Gerard Charbonnet, 26, Grand Marais, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 23, 2022, to two misdemeanors: 1) Obstructing Legal Process – Interfering with a Peace Officer, and 2) DWI – Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. Both offenses occurred on July 30, 2021. Sentenced to Local Confinement (60 Days stayed for one year), one year of Probation to the Court, and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $2085.

Luke Michael Dickinson, 21, Duluth, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 23, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 81/60 on March 10, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Jamison Tyler Murphy, 33, Minneapolis, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 23, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 71/40 on March 12, 2022. Fines and fees total $385.

Joshua David Scherer, 47, Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 24, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 83/60 on March 13, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.
