Matters of Record


The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the punishment exceeds $150 and/ or ten days in jail and/or includes one year of supervised adult probation. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Luca Rimanich, 58, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, pled guilty on April 28, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 80/60 on April 24, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Cameron James Anderson, 32, Minneapolis, Minnesota, pled guilty on April 29, 2022, to a misdemeanor of Trespass – Returning to a Property Within One Year on February 10, 2021. Sentenced to one day of unsupervised probation, 20 days of local confinement (with credit for time served: 20 days) and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $185.

Kathryn Angeline Legarde, 29, Superior, Wisconsin, pled guilty on May 5, 2022, to two petty misdemeanors: 1) Driving without Proof of Insurance, and 2) DAR – Driving After Revocation of License, on November 30, 2016 (date on record). Fines and fees total $490.

Legarde also pled guilty on May 6, 2022, to three petty misdemeanors: 1) Driving Without a Valid License, 2) Driving without Proof of Insurance, and 3) Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign, on December 19, 2015 (date on record). Fines and fees total $440.

Oliver Mandap Macalino, 49, Stratford, Prince Edward Island, Canada, pled guilty on May 7, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 80/60 on May 1, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Andrew James Sapp, 33, pled guilty on May 11, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 83/60 on April 2, 2022. Fines and fees total $225.

Bret Tyson Berka, 48, Grand Marais, Minnesota, entered an Amended Plea of Guilty on May 13, 2019, to a felony and gross misdemeanor which occurred on April 13, 2019. The felony was Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree; the gross misdemeanor was also Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree. Court Decision was Continued on July 8, 2019. Requirements were served concurrently and included local confinement (3 Days with credit for time served: 3 Days), three years of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. An Amended Disposition on May 11, 2022, was Dismissed, Conditions Met or Expired. Fees totaled $600.

Gene Alan Brovold, 71, Grand Marais, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 11, 2022, to a misdemeanor of Making an Emergency Call for Police/Fire/Medical or Ambulance when there was No Emergency, on March 12, 2022. Sentenced to local confinement (30 Days stayed for one year). one year of probation to the court, and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $185.

Mathew David Thompson, 32, Grand Portage, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 14, 2022, to two petty misdemeanors: 1) Driving After Revocation of Driver’s License, and 2) Traffic Speeding 70/60 on January 19, 2022. Fines and fees total $325.

Alvin Bryant Reynolds, 19, Cloquet, Minnesota, pled guilty on May 16, 2022, to a petty misdemeanor of Traffic Speeding 86/60 on March 4, 2022. Fines and fees total $285.

MARRIAGE DISSOLUTION

The Judgement of Marriage Dissolution was granted to Jessica Nicole Neel and Vincent Harrison Neel on April 12, 2022.
