The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

Samuel David Kent, 21, Duluth, Minnesota, pled guilty on November 17, 2020, to a misdemeanor of using a Dangerous Weapon such as Metal Knuckles or a Switch Blade on May 6, 2020. Sentenced on December 11, 2020. Fines and fees total $360.

Kelly Jeanne Baker, 51, Grand Portage, Minnesota, pled guilty on October 26, 2020, to a misdemeanor of Disorderly Conduct (Offensive, Abusive, Boisterous, Noisy, Obscene behavior) on July 24, 2020. Convicted and sentenced on December 21, 2020. Sentenced to local confinement (90 days stayed for one year with two days credit for time served), one year of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. Fines and fees total $360.

Kelly Jeanne Baker, 51, Grand Portage, Minnesota, pled guilty on October 26, 2020, to a petty misdemeanor of Driving after Revocation of a license on July 30, 2020. Convicted and sentenced on December 21, 2020. Fines and fees total $560.

Mark Joseph Sheridan, 57, Grand Marais, Minnesota, pled guilty on December 21, 2020, to a gross misdemeanor of Third Degree DWI – Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol on September 16, 2020. Sentenced to local confinement (180 days stayed for two years), two years of supervised adult probation, and conditions of behavior. Thirty days of local confinement can be served with EHM (electronic home monitoring) or one year of ignition interlock. Fines and fees total $3185.
