Colton Robert Deschampe, 26, Grand Marais, pled guilty Oct.
29 to gross misdemeanor charges of driving while impaired in the
third degree filed July 17, the court having dismissed additional
charges of test refusal and possession of an open bottle. Sentenced
Nov. 26 to 365 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $1,500 fine plus court
costs and fees for a total of $1,585.
Curry Richard Thompson, 47, New London, pled guilty Nov. 26
to driving after revocation on Feb. 28, 2017, and was fined $290.
Joseph Victor Thompson, 48, Grand Marais, pled guilty Nov. 26
to speeding (77/45) on Nov. 4, and was fined $385.
Daryl Robert Bathke, 40, Grand Marais, pled guilty Nov. 25
to misdemeanor charges of DWI filed June 1, the court having
dismissed an additional charge of speeding (64/55), and was
sentenced to 60 days in jail, stayed one year with probation and
conditions, and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and
fees for a total of $1,085.
Jesse Michael Harkness, 26, Beaver Bay, pled guilty Nov. 25
to driving an uninsured vehicle on Oct. 15, the court having dismissed an additional charge of failure to notify owner of damaged
property (traffic collision), and was fined $200.
Michael John Sassano, 55, Grand Marais, pled guilty Nov. 25 to
misdemeanor charges of DWI filed Aug. 28, and was sentenced to
60 days in jail, stayed one year with probation and conditions, and
ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of
$1,085.
Dilipkumar Kamalkumr Tekwani, 25, Ontario, pled guilty Oct. 4
to gross misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs (not a small
amount of marijuana) filed Sept. 23, and was granted a statutory
stay of adjudication and placed on probation for two years, and
ordered to pay court costs of $1,075.
Frederick William Plevell, 56, Tomah, Wis., pled guilty Nov. 25
to a DNR hunting violation (use of bait) on Nov. 9, and was fined
$385.
William Joseph Grant, 41, St. Paul, pled guilty Nov. 13 to gross
misdemeanor charges of driving while impaired filed April 21, and
was sentenced to 180 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised
probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $1,500 fine plus
court costs and fees for a total of $1,585.
Makayla Elizabeth Brandt, 26, Fridley, pled guilty Nov. 21 to
charges of misdemeanor theft filed May 26, and was granted a stay
of adjudication and sentenced to one year probation.
Raymond Michael Jobe, 33, Nisswa, pled guilty Nov. 27 to no
proof of insurance when operating a vehicle on Aug. 14, and was
fined $285.
Taylor Marie Lipo Zovic, 27, Minneapolis, pled guilty Dec. 2 to
unlawful deposit of garbage, litter or like on Sept. 29, and was fined
$185.
Matthew Raymond Hedge, 54, Sioux Falls, S.D., pled guilty Dec.
3 to a DNR hunting violation (use of bait) on Nov. 16, and was
fined $385.
