Michael John Gorichs, 49, Duluth, pled guilty Dec. 27 to charges of driving while impaired in the third degree filed Oct. 30, the court having dismissed an additional charge of possession or use of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 180 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $1,090.
David Edward Mroczek, 32, Ontario, pled guilty Dec. 27 to charges of no or inoperative breakaway brakes on Oct. 13, and was fined $190.
Sharon Lee Maxson, 63, Brookfield, Wis., pled guilty Dec. 27 to felony charges of possession of a controlled substance filed June 21, and was granted a stay of adjudication, placed on two years probation with conditions, and ordered to pay court costs and fees totaling $500.
Joseph Marcel Daniel DuFresne, 60, Ontario, pled guilty Dec. 27 to felony charges of possession of a controlled substance filed Sept. 22, and was granted a stay of adjudication and placed on supervised probation for three years with conditions, and ordered to pay court costs and fees of $2,000.
Merlin John Sherer, 40, Duluth, pled guilty April 15, 2016 to a felony charge of driving while impaired on Feb. 1, 2015, the court having dismissed an additional felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and petty misdemeanor charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession/use of drug paraphernalia. Sentenced Jan. 19 to 66 months at the state correctional facility at St. Cloud and ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $140.
