cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $100 and/or 10
days in jail. All fines have additional surcharges and fees and may
be much higher. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that
this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to
be withheld will not be granted.
James Allen Foster,
35, Grand Marais, pled guilty Dec. 15 to speeding (82/55) on Oct. 25, and was fined $290.
Caitlin Grace Yliniemi,
20, Grand Portage, pled guilty Dec. 9 to consumption of alcohol by persons under age 21 on April 17, and was fined $190.
Katherine Rose Zantopp,
18, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Dec. 9 to speeding (65/55) on Nov. 9, and was fined $130.
Adam William Holmes,
22, Minneapolis, pled guilty Dec. 10 to speeding (55/45) and driving after suspension on June 23, 2008, and was fined a total of $242.
Lawrence Kaplanis,
70, Thunder Bay, pled guilty Dec. 18 to speeding (80/55) on Sept. 8, and was fined $230.
Barry Patrick Peters,
57, Humble, Texas, pled guilty Dec. 18 to speeding (68/55) on Aug. 12, and was fined $140.
Phillip Raymond Nelson,
33, Chisholm, pled guilty Dec. 22 to carrying an expired medical card on Dec. 1, an additional charge of not carrying proof of insurance having been dismissed by the court, and was fined $190.
Roy Eugene Ahern,
50, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., pled guilty Dec. 22 to driving under the influence of alcohol on July 12, and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail, stayed one year with unsupervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a fine plus court costs and fees totaling $590.
