The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.
Eugene David Keating, 44, Shoreview, pled guilty May 13 to charges of theft filed March 7, and was granted a stay of adjudication and sentenced to one year supervised probation with conditions and ordered to pay court costs of $300.
Heidi Marie Sobanja, 58, Grand Marais, pled guilty May 13 to charges of driving while impaired (DWI) filed Oct. 27, the court having dismissed additional charges of test refusal. Sentenced to 60 days in jail, stayed one year with unsupervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $1,115.
Cecilia Marie Cordova, 23, Mankato, pled guilty Jan. 13 to felony charges of drug possession and child endangerment filed April 5. Sentenced May 13 to 180 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions and ordered to pay court costs and fees totaling $90.
Cory Dan Wilson, 34, Grand Marais, pled guilty March 11 to charges of domestic assault (subsequent violation) filed Jan. 14, the court having dismissed additional charges of interference with a 911 call and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Sentenced May 13 to 365 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $50 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $140.
