Matters of Record




The Cook County News-Herald publishes Matters of Record to inform the public of arraignments and dispositions of criminal cases in which the potential punishment exceeds $150 and/or 10 days in jail. It is the Cook County News-Herald’s policy that this information contains a complete record. Requests for items to be withheld will not be granted.

John Cameron Fagerman, 24, St. Paul, pled guilty April 15 to charges of fleeing a police officer on Aug. 4, the court having dismissed an additional charge of violation of the Cook County Social Host Ordinance. Sentenced to 15 days in jail, stayed one year with unsupervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $300 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $390.

Joshua David Hutchins, 28, Grand Marais, pled guilty April 15 to felony charges of drug possession filed Nov. 5, and was granted a statutory stay of adjudication and sentenced to 170 days in jail, stayed seven years with supervised probation and conditions.

Joanne Louise Loyear, 60, Hermantown, pled guilty April 22 to charges of expired driver’s license filed June 13, and was fined $190.

Karla Tuyen Le, 19, Ontario, pled guilty April 28 to speeding (72/55) on March 12, and was fined $150.

Joseph Edward Bazzett, 37, Lutsen, pled guilty March 11 to charges of careless driving and driving while impaired (third degree) filed July 28, and was sentenced April 28 to 90 days in jail, stayed two years with supervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $620.

Brent Elvin Huso, 27, Meville, N.D., pled guilty April 28 to charges of DWI filed March 2, the court having dismissed two additional similar charges. Sentenced to 60 days in jail, stayed one year with unsupervised probation and conditions, and ordered to pay a $500 fine plus court costs and fees for a total of $615.

Steven Warren Robert Anishnabie, 21, Grand Portage, pled guilty Dec. 23 to felony charges of assault (first degree) filed May 15, the court having dismissed an additional charge of attempted murder in the first degree. Sentenced April 23 to 103 months in the state correctional facility at St. Cloud, stayed 10 years with supervised probation and conditions, and one year in local confinement, and ordered to pay court costs and fees totaling $90.

Camille T. Williams, 32, Louisville, Kentucky, pled guilty April 23 to charges of speeding (55/40) on April 15, and was fined $150.
