Isaac Schmidt (18th place) and Adam Oberg (17th place) prepare to begin their 800-meter race.
The boys and girls CCHS track team traveled to Denfeld High School on May 13 to participate in the Matt Kero track meet, and both squads posted some great results.
In a field of athletes from large schools, Ryan Christiansen ran 11.82 in the 100 meters to take third place.
Ryan placed 13th in the 200 meters with a time of 24.63. Finn Taylor posted a time of 27.59 to place 26th
Molly Vigne took 10th place in the 100 meters with a time of 14.04.
Brianna Monson placed 21st with a time of 31.54. Sophia Sheehan ran 33.75 to take 29th.
Sylvia Hansen ran 57.39 in the 300-meter hurdles to place 12th.
Ben Rex ran 59.65 to take 14th in the 400-meter run. Rylan Brown finished the 400-meter run in 63.72 to place 21st, and Gus Hahn ran 65.33 to place 23rd.
Annabelle Silence placed 24th in the 400 meters in 79.86 seconds. Siena Woerheide took 26th in 83.17, and Grace Blomberg ran 88.55 to finish 29th.
In the 800 meters, Merlin Higgins ran 2:29:06 to place 15th. Adam Oberg took 17th with a time of 2:35:62, and Isaac Schmidt ran 2:44:18 to finish 19th.
Kalina Dimitrova throws the Shot-Put earning 9th place with a throw of 25 feet 4 inches.
Anna Hay placed 11th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:44:50, and Lexi Surbaugh finished 18th in 2:53:24.
In the 1600 meter run, Brayden Schmidt placed 18th with a time of 5:15:63. Kyler Hansen took 23rd in 5:22.69, and Tristan Surbaugh was 24th crossing the finish line in 5:35.14.
Anna Hay ran the 1600 meters in 5:57.55 to place 7th in a deep field of milers. Lexi Surbaugh posted a good time of 6:17:97 to take 12th place.
Keean Selin took 11th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:43.34. Andrew Hallberg placed 15th with a time of 12:31.49, and Haddon Taylor took 19th in 12:58.55.
Cece Chmelik led Cook County girls in the 3200 meter run with a 13th place. Cece crossed the line in 15:49.22.
The boy’s 4×100 relay placed 11th, and the girls’ 4×100 relay finished 13th.
In the 4×200 relay, the boys placed 5th while the girls’ 4×200 meter relay placed 16th.
The boys placed 11th in the 4×400 meter relay, and the girls placed 14th.
Cook County boys placed 6th in the 4×800 meter relay.
Calvin Battees took 16th in the discus throw, with Lute Johnson placing 30th.
Kalina Dimitrova placed 9th in the discus with a new PR throw of 66-11. Cece Chmelik also set a personal record with a throw of 57 feet to take 20th.
Danny Berka placed 19th in the long jump with a leap of 15-3. Kaleb Berka jumped 14-4 to take 22nd.
Kylie Viren placed 28th in the girl’s long jump to take 28th place.
Arlo Christiansen threw the shotput 32-6, and Calvin Battees was right behind with a throw of 31-9. They placed 19th and 20th. Lute Jansen placed 30th with a throw of 21-2.
Cece Chnmelik placed fourth in the shot put with a PR of 27-10. Kalina Dimitrova placed 9th with a PR toss of 25-04.
Danny Berka placed 12th in the triple jump, and Kaleb Berka placed 15h. Danny set a PR with a hop, skip, and jump totaling 33-01. Kaleb jumped 30-07.
