Marilyn F. Fredrickson, 85, of North Branch, died November 27, 2017, at Ecumen in North Branch.
Marilyn Frances Fredrickson was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Oxford Township to Floyd and Mildred (Oker) Larson. She attended District 47 Oakland School and continued her education earning her GED.
Marilyn married Martin Fredrickson Sept. 24, 1949, in Cambridge. They made their home in Oxford where they farmed. In 1976 they moved to Grand Marais, and in 1992 they moved to Cambridge.
After Martin passed away, Marilyn lived in Isanti until moving to North Branch two years ago. She was devoted to others, giving and helping others as often as she could. She enjoyed writing and in her early years had a social column in a local paper.
Marilyn also enjoyed flowers, the outdoors and most recently had a passion for coloring. She was a person of strong faith and was a longtime member of Country Roads Church.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her seven children: Karen (Brian) Johnson of Helena, Montana, Alan Fredrickson of Stacy, Diane (Dallas) Smith of Aitkin, Lonny (Sandy) Fredrickson of Stacy, Brenda (Doug) Rea of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Lorie Puckett of St. Cloud, and Terry (Krisann) Fredrickson of Sparta, Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and by many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Martin in 1997; daughter-in-law Kim Fredrickson; grandchildren Kendra and Jason; and great-grandchild Connor.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at Country Roads Church in Stacy with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Atna Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at StrikeLifeTributes.com.
