Margaret V. Wilson,
96, of Towanda, Kansas died February 3, 2012 at her home in Towanda. The celebration of her life was held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Towanda United Methodist Church of Christ.
Margaret was born October 2, 1916 near Towanda, the daughter of Dell Milton and Stella Wait. She has lived in Towanda all of her life. She graduated from the Towanda High School.
On March 24, 1935 she married Melvin Wilson. He preceded her in death in 1996. They had two children, Gary and Cynthia. Both children have preceded her in death.
Margaret was a wonderful homemaker. She was very active with her church, the Towanda United Methodist Church of Christ, the United Methodist Women, and the D.A.R. She volunteered on a number of boards in both El Dorado and Towanda.
Surviving family include a daughter-in-law Tonya Wilson of Nebraska; grandchildren Jeff (Sara) Wilson and Stephanie (Kevin) Renfro both of Towanda, Kip (Lisa) Murphy of Chicago, Shawn (Lisa) Murphy, Henderson, Colorado, Ty and Lex Wilson both of Burwell, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Owen Edwards, Veda Samuels, Blakely Wilson all of Towanda, Chase Wolverton, El Dorado; Wilson Murphy and Sloane Murphy of Henderson, Finn and Olivia Murphy of Chicago and one greatgreat grandchild Mathias Edwards of El Dorado.
