Thunder Bay Newswatch reported that Provincial police arrested a man trying to enter Grand Portage while attempting to cross through the Pigeon River border in a stolen vehicle.
The arrest of a 34-year-old Québec man came Sunday morning, May 7. An investigation led to more charges being filed against the individual who was found with fraudulent identity documents. He was remanded into custody on possession obtained by crime, personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or to escape justice, and obstructing a peace officer.
The accused was placed into custody until his court date in Thunder Bay.
