Papa Charlie’s at Lutsen Mountains is known as one of the premier concert venues in Minnesota.
Lutsen, a small township of fewer than 500 residents, clearly has draw power beyond its size to lure acts that play festival crowds of 15,000-plus to its intimate slope side venue. World class scenery and recreation immerse both fans and performers in a vacation vibe that has built a roster of new and returning artists that choose Papa Charlie’s as their first, and sometimes only, Minnesota play in the winter season.
The first wave of headline shows for the 2018-19 season are on pre-sale with ski and stay concert packages beginning noon Monday, October 22, with general on-sale concert tickets available at noon, Thursday, November 1.
The New Standards Holiday Show will be held Friday, November 23. Other upcoming acts include Trampled by Turtles, Cloud Cult, The Travelin’ McCourys, Jeff Austin Band, Wookie Foot, and many more.
With several other events in the works, additional shows that fill out the winter weekends along with a weekday songwriter series will be released in early November. All told, Papa Charlie’s will host over 100 artists and 125 performances this season with live music seven days a week during prime winter months.
