As far as websites go, Lutsen Mountains can now say theirs is an award winner. It was selected “Best of Category” in the tourism and travel category for the 2016 Horizon Interactive Awards.
Lutsen Mountains’ website has won “Best of Category” for travel and tourism in the 2016 Horizon Interactive Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of interactive and creative media. The newly redesigned website was built by Propeller Media Works of Burlington, Vermont, a custom web design firm that specializes in hospitality and resort marketing.
“We were thrilled with the launch of our new website and the response from our visitors,” said Jim Vick, marketing director of Lutsen Mountains. “It was built for content, not awards, but the award is affirmation of many long hours. ‘Best of Category’ is a true honor considering the hundreds of high-profile international destinations submitted.”
“Lutsen Mountains is a strategic partner with Visit Cook County, and lutsen.com is an important portal for visitors to the area with over 500,000 visits and 1.7 million page views annually,” said Linda Jurek, of Visit Cook County. “We share content and videos between our websites, and an award of excellence in presentation reinforces Cook County as an amazing destination.”
Visit Cook County has received several accolades as a premier travel destination in recent years including Best Small Town in America— Budget Travel, finalist—“ The 16 Best Places to Live in the U.S. 2016” by Outside magazine, and most recently as USA Today’s Best Midwest Small Town.
