The M.A.X. Pass, also known as the “Multi-Alpine Experience” Pass, has announced the inclusion of Lutsen Mountains, located in Lutsen, Minnesota and Granite Peak Ski Area, located in Wausau, Wisconsin, to its growing roster of ski resorts across the country. The M.A.X. Pass is the largest multi-mountain pass for skiers and snowboarders in North America. Serving 42 ski resorts in addition to Lutsen and Granite Peak, the M.A.X. Pass provides five days of skiing, without any blackout dates, from day trips and ski weekends close to home, to vacations at premier destination resorts like Steamboat, Big Sky, Copper Mountain, Winter Park and many more. The M.A.X. Pass gives winter sports enthusiasts the ability to travel and plan vacations to mountains they’ve never experienced before.

Skiers and riders at Lutsen and Granite Peak can purchase a M.A.X. Pass until May 1, 2017 at a cost of $629 for an adult, $429 for a teen, $329 for youth, and $29 for a child. The M.A.X. Pass also provides an option called the Add-On Benefit which is ideal for current and future season pass holders at Lutsen and Granite Peak, and offers season pass holders five days of skiing at the other 42 resorts for only $329 for an adult, $279 for a teen, $229 for youth and $29 for a child.

Charles Skinner, a principal in Lutsen and Granite Peak said, “The expansion of M.A.X. Pass includes regional destinations like Lutsen and Granite Peak in addition to a blue-chip portfolio of resorts across North America. This not only provides easier access and greater opportunities for guests to use their passes, a value not available in other multi-resort passes, but it also allows our season pass holders to take advantage of what now becomes the best and most affordable of all multi-resort passes, the Add-On Benefit.”

The M.A.X. Pass is valid for the entire 2017-2018 ski season at all 44 mountains with no blackout dates, meaning all holidays are included. Days do not need to be used consecutively and days are not transferrable from one mountain to another. The M.A.X Pass has grown steadily from its inception two years ago; since that time, 20 resorts have been added to the initial roster including Lutsen and Granite Peak.

Lutsen offers the Midwest’s true mountain ski area experience with four interconnected peaks overlooking Lake Superior that brings big mountain skiing to mid-America’s largest ski resort. Boasting four mountains, 95 runs, and an 825-foot vertical rise, Lutsen is renowned for offering live music seven days a week, slope side lodging and dining, and eight-passenger gondola, a six-passenger high-speed chairlift, and more than 120 inches of average snowfall.

Granite Peak Ski Area provides the perfect blend of 75 beginner, intermediate and expert runs including four terrain parks, acres of tree skiing, and three mogul runs all situated on a 405-acre resort. Skiers and snowboarders ride three high-speed lifts, two fixed-grip lifts and two conveyor lifts to a 700-foot vertical rise above the resort’s Chalet Village that features two chalets, an Alpine Learning Center, an equipment rental center, and the Granite Peak Ski & Sport Shop.
