Lucas Coe, 15 months old, of Brainerd, passed away unexpectedly at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital on Friday, February 27, 2015.

Lucas Paul Coe was born to Bryan and Erica (Felten) Coe on November 24, 2013 in Staples, Minnesota. He loved his green blanket, pacifier, blowing duck calls with Dadda, chasing KC (his pup) around the house with Dadda’s deer antler. Lucas loved everything that had wheels. He always wanted to go to the garage to ride the “vroom vroom” (lawn tractor). He loved bath time and to make big splashes. He loved his books, his favorite was Animal Alphabet. But most important, he loved all people. Lucas was the most friendly little boy, always waving at each and every person passing by him.

Lucas’s father is employed at National Conductor in Brainerd; his mother is employed at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.

Lucas is deeply missed and will be forever remembered by his parents, Bryan and Erica Coe; grandparents, Paul and Barb Coe of Grand Marais, and Cameron and Julie Felten of Brainerd; uncles Aaron Felten of Brainerd and Adam Felten (fiancée Kristine Schrader) of Brainerd; aunt Emily Felten (Nathan Tahtinen) and their son Cohen Tahtinen of Brainerd; and aunt Sarah Coe and her son Cameron of Otsego.
