Loves travelling backwoods forest roads

I’m an out-of-towner (hopefully not for long) and you might not care what I think but, I would like to speak on behalf of the tourists and photographers, who absolutely love driving on endless, and I mean endless miles of forest roads on the North Shore, searching for moose, bear and other wildlife.

From Shoe Lake Road to the Six Hundred Road, my wife Kris and I have covered nearly all of them.

When we went up the Sawbill Trail recently and saw the Temperance River Bridge closed, that was a real disappointment. Please visit www.riverbluffphotography.com to see some of the photos I have taken, including one of the Six Hundred Road bridge.

My wife and I are planning to retire up there in the years to come and until then (as someone who is not local) I would be happy to buy an annual permit for oh say $25 that would allow me to use these roads.

We are currently up on the North Shore as many as eight times a year, so I would be getting plenty of bang for my buck….

Some people think it’s boring, we call it paradise. It really is a treat. Please don’t take it away.
