Do you love to cross country ski? Cook County’s youth ski league invites you to share your love of cross country skiing and being active in the winter with Cook County youth. The Youth Ski League will be starting soon and is looking for adults to help lead groups and teach kids to cross country ski.
Now is also the time for any kids interested in participating in the program to sign up.
Youth Ski League is an opportunity for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade to learn how to cross country ski or hone their skills through fun and challenging ski games and skiing the Pincushion trails. The Youth Ski League, sponsored by the North Superior Ski and Run Club, meets Sunday afternoons in January and February.
The program has grown dramatically in the last three years and needs adult skiers interested in skiing with and leading small groups of kids. No experience is needed—just a desire to have fun skiing with kids.
A planning meeting for interested adults is being held November 29 at the Pincushion Trail building at 7 p.m. Parents can sign up kids to be in the program and rent equipment on December 2 from 1:30 – 2:15 p.m. and December 4 from 4:45 – 5:30 p.m. at the Pincushion Trail building.
