Michael Monroe and Debra Mueller have invited audiences to join them for Log Cabin Concerts/ Receptions, a private event in their log home, seven miles out of Grand Marais, since February 2005.
They have issued for a very special invitation for the Saturday, April 19 event, which will feature special guest Prudence Johnson and Jane Aleckson of Big Top Chatauqua who will perform tunes together. Michael will sing a short set and is excited to welcome them both to the Log Cabin Stage. “There is usually a spontaneous collaboration!” said Mueller.
Prudence Johnson’s career has taken her from honkytonks to Carnegie Hall, from the theater stage to the Silver Screen, from the Midwest to the Middle East. She is a regular guest on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion and appears as one of the “regulars” in Robert Altman’s 2006 A Prairie Home Companion movie. Her film credits also include Robert Redford’s A River Runs Through It in a role she was born to play—a singer!
